You Decide

I've left my life open
to watch you rip it up
or tenderly hold it
in your beautiful arms.
My chest is yours
to use as a punching bag
or a pillow.
You decide.

My mind is made up
and I'm waiting on you
to figure out how this works
and take that first step
into the unknown.
It's never easy
and your foot may slip
on all the indecision
but you'll never really know
until you're already there
if you did the right thing.

I hope that I'm right.
You hope I'm right too.
And I hope you can find
the assurance and comfort
which we desperatly need.
I hope you find it in my arms
cause I find mine in yours,
and I hope you heal my heart
by tenderly keeping it
next to yours.

So I wait on the side
of this highway named "life"
with my thumb sticking out
and you creeping forward.
I'm yours if you want me;
you decide.

Interesting poem. You really expressed yourself well in here methinks, though, I tend to like some of your other stuff better. Kyah . . . . anyways, nicely written poem and hope you can get a few more on here if ever get the chance. You're a pretty kick awesome writer. ^__^
